I have now been out twice with RJ’s guide service. They are responsive accommodating friendly and continue to give back to there community. The boat is clean and I absolutely felt safe in Cpt lens very competent hands. We got some reel therapy, it was a good trip fun relaxing and very easy to enjoy. You can’t ask for a better more knowledgeable Capt. trip- we marked spotted fish right away and blasted out three pretty quickly. Although we marked fish all day and fished the range the remainder of day we got steady fish and were able to enjoy the fishing and the BSing. And at 30 degrees on the water we were able to stay comfortable in the enclosed area. He was so kind he brought a heater. I can’t wait to bring my nephews and family out with Capt Len. Tools, know it all’s, and grouches buy your own boat… Capt Len is my new fav therapist! Get out of the house and into HIS boat. Best looking girl on the water!

We had the best time! Captain Len works hard to get us in the right place at the right time with the right lures to ensure we catch lots of fish. He is constantly changing tactics to see what the fish like that particular day, then he adjusts his approach so the fish simply can’t resist. In addition to catching lots of fish, we also had the best conversations and laughed the whole trip! We are already discussing another trip this fall. I am totally satisfied!

Whether you’re an avid fisherman or complete beginner, RJ’s Compass Guide Service provides a professional experience that delivers. My guide Len met me promptly at 7:30 am at the Linwood Marina dock for an excursion on Lake Huron. I was greeted then explained all the details of the trip. The day was cold (~34 degrees F) and I wasn’t sure how long we would be able to stay out on the water due to the wind gusts. I was surprised to see his boat had a see-through vinyl covering that trapped the heat and ended up providing a comfortable experience. Len was able to quickly find fish using his advanced fish finding equipment then within minutes boards were set and we were trolling! You decide how much you want to be involved in fishing. If you feel comfortable removing hooks, setting boards or even netting the fish then you can. The excursion is what you make of it. Len is very knowledgeable and will talk to your skill level. I caught five nice size (7-8 lb, 20-25”) walleye that day. Len will even fillet your catch for you!! I would definitely use this guide again!!!

Im traveled here from Toms River N.J.to visit family, they arranged for a Walleye fishing trip with Capt.Len . It was a great experience, his knowledge and expertise went beyond all expectations. My kids and I wanted to surprise my husband with a fishing charter for his birthday and are so happy that we chose a charter with RJ’s!! Len is experienced, knowledgeable and made sure our family had a great time on the water while bringing in plenty of nice size fish to fry!! It was our youngest son’s first fishing experience like this and he’s already asking to meet up with Len to fish again!! I highly recommend RJ’s if you’re looking for a great fishing experience in Mid-Michigan!!

I’ve been out a couple times Walleye fishing with RJ’s guide service. The crew is first class and great people and will show you as much as you want to know or just sit back and catch fish. My last trip I took my 5yr old son for his first time on Lake Huron fishing and we got him his first walleye, about 5lbs! He had so much fun he was sleeping on the ride back in to the dock. Class act people, service and always a lot of laughs. A+++

My brother and I both tagged out on bucks early so we wanted to get out on the bay and chase around some November walleye. I contacted Len at RJ's Guide Service. We went 10 for 10 Sunday morning and some real hogs. Len kept us on the fish all morning and was an absolute pro! I highly recommend Len if you are looking to take advantage of the great early winter walleye fishing on the bay... Fish on!

Our fishing trip with Len was a blast! He took time to get to know our family before the trip and made it enjoyable from start to finish. He engaged the kids in the process and they learned a lot too. Despite hot weather and smooth water we still caught great fish with Len’s expertise! We had a blast and can’t wait to return to the water with Len soon!

Captain Len is very experienced on Lake Huron getting us on a couple linkers. Biggest I have ever caught. Great equipment, great service and an awesome time on the water. Would recommend highly to anyone looking for a charter. Thanks Len for the great experience!!
